Tom Caruso is the owner of Caruso Cabinets in Avon, Ohio. Tom’s career in this industry began in 1986. In 2001, he started Caruso Cabinets and he’s been going strong ever since.

“In 2001, my brother Jerry and I decided to leave the company we were working for because the company we were with wasn’t servicing the homeowner the way we thought they should be. The company we were with sold multiple different products and we wanted to just focus on cabinetry, so we started Caruso Cabinets.”

What Tom and his brother did would be impressive in its own right for sure. However, we wanted to know more about Tom, Jerry, and Caruso Cabinets itself. We asked Tom what set them apart from their competitors and his response was immediate.

“We do the work. When you call us, you talk to us. We have been designing for 36 years and we know what we’re doing. We take you from start to finish with the builder and remodeler. We teamed up with Wellborn Cabinet in 2004 and it was the best decision we made.”

Of course, we had to know what made Tom and Caruso Cabinets want to team up with us here at Wellborn Cabinet.

“We were looking for a family-owned company. There are not a lot of family-owned cabinet companies out there that have the depth of the line that Wellborn Cabinet does. As a family company, we needed to be with a company that understood what it meant to work with family. Wellborn Cabinet stood behind us and supported us and we’re here today because of Wellborn Cabinet.”

We wanted to know more about Tom himself, so we asked what his favorite part of working in this industry was.

“The people. I’m fortunate to get to go to work with my family. People say that it's hard but it's not. I love it. We’re here together today.”

So, what is Caruso Cabinet’s standard? What do they strive for every day?

“We may work on a kitchen today, but we still want tomorrow’s business. We have to follow through on what we promise and finish what we start. We all make mistakes but we’re all in this together.”

We had to know, what did Tom see for the future of his team and the future of Caruso Cabinets as a whole?

“We love what we do. My daughters are moving up in the company and they say that we’re going to be 80 years old still coming up here and drinking coffee and still designing. Hopefully, we’ll be here for a long time.”

Tom and his team at Caruso Cabinets are incredible and we are so proud to partner with them. We’re excited to see what the future holds...and for those future cups of coffee!
