River Valley Kitchens & Baths is a full-service dealer and remodeler business owned by husband/wife duo, Al and Susan Bryant. Located in Roscoe, Illinois, they have been a Wellborn Cabinet dealer since 2007.
We wanted to learn a bit more about Al and Susan, so we asked Susan what it was like working with her husband so closely in their business.
“It works out pretty well! We’re not always doing the same thing. He’s out in the field, I’ll be in the office and showroom, helping out there. So, it works out.”
On the flip side, we had to ask Al what it's like working with his wife! His response made us laugh.
“As long as I know who the boss is, then everything is fine! But, no, it works well. We complement each other. She works with the customers a lot and I work with the field service people, so it works.”
Al and Susan are an incredible team with a beautiful bond. So, what about their business? We asked what their values and standards were at River Valley Kitchens & Baths.
“Our standard is to provide quality, full service remodeling. Something a lot of people didn’t have was both the ability to supply the product and supply the service. So, that’s our main thing. We just want to make sure that our customers are satisfied.”
Susan added that they see the whole project through to the end. They are there from the planning, the building, installation, and even afterward, they are available for their customers.
What they do at River Valley Kitchens & Baths is amazing. We wanted to know what drew them to Wellborn Cabinet. Al stated that when they bought their company, they inherited Wellborn Cabinet’s dealership. Sue added that having Wellborn Cabinet was one of their biggest “deciding factors” when it came to buying River Valley Kitchens & Baths.
“We’re known there at Wellborn Cabinet. We buy pretty much exclusively Wellborn Cabinet and there’s a reason for that.”
We asked Al and Susan what changes they’d seen in their own business.
“There are so many design shows and building shows out now that customers kind of have ideas of what they want when they come in. Fortunately, we have some really talented designers that are able to really help our customers through the project.”
